Journal History

UC Journal: ELT, Linguistics and Literature Journal, a scientific, blind-peer-reviewed and open-accessed journal, was established in 20 May 2020 and is published by the English Language Education Study Programme (S1/Sarjana PBI) in collaboration with the English Education Master's Programme (S2/Magister PBI) of Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

The initials UC in UC Journal stand for the noun phrase Universal Contributor. Accordingly, UC Journal is the abbreviated form of Universal Contributor Journal. Originally, the initials UC were derived from -- or to be more precise, were inspired by the phrase undergraduate conference, which is an annual event organized by undergraduate students of the English Language Education Study Programme of Sanata Dharma University.

UC Journal: ELT, Linguistics and Literature Journal, where UC stand for the phrase Universal Contributor, warmly welcomes article contributors from all over the world -- throughout the universe.
