PENGEMBANGAN DAN PEMBERDAYAAN USAHA KERAJINAN BATIK KUDUS: SALAH SATU KEARIFAN LOKAL UNTUK MENEMBUS PASAR EKSPOR

Abstract


Kudus is a small town with diverse community members. In Kudus city, there are two Sunans, namely Sunan Muria and Sunan Kudus. Sunan Kudus himself abandoned a teaching of "Gusjigang", which is an acronym of "bagus, ngaji, dagang". It is this philosophy that motivates the Kudus people in trade and entrepreneurship. In Kudus, the trade and SME sector become the driving force of the economy and one of the backbones of the Kudus Regency's economy is Batik Kudus. The Batik Kudus Industry is an industry that raised the culture of local wisdom "Local Wisdom" of Kudus Regency, from the side of the motifs raised local culture and folklore Kudus into a uniqueness and specialty of its own compared to other kinds of batik. Batik Kudus is also an export commodity. In addition to increasing foreign exchange, it also introduces Indonesian cultures to the world. However, SME Batik Kudus Industry needs to be supported by the ability of technology and good quality of human resources to be able to compete in the era of free markets. The objectives of this activity are: (1) driven improving the development of SMEs in seizing export opportunities through improving the quality of products and modern marketing technology (2) handling aspects of human resources, management, administration and production, improving the skill of craftsmen, improving the quality and quantity, and management of good management, (3) Transfer of technology from college to partners.
