Author Guidelines
Jurnal Suksma uses an online submission platform.
General Author Guidelines:
- All submissions are done online via https://e-journal.usd.ac.id/index.php/suksma/index
- Log in is required for the first time user. If you do not have an account, click "Register" button and make your account.
ID should be your email address being actively used now. If you have an account but forgot your password, click the "Forgot Your Password?" button. Your password will be given to your email address on your request. To begin, enter your User ID and password into the boxes provided, and click. At the welcome screen, click "New Submission" button. After that, click button to submit your new manuscript and follow for steps.
Title
The title must be concise and straightforward. Can be written both in Bahasa and English
Affiliation
Briefly include the name without a title, the institution or affiliation of each author and email correspondence.
Abstract
Manuscripts in Indonesian are written in English, and vice versa. The maximum number of words in an abstract is 250 words and written in Adobe Caslon Pro (font size: 9 and spacing 1). Written in one paragraph.
Specifically, the abstract in a manuscript with a quantitative research design must be clear, descriptive, and can provide a brief description of the problem under study. The abstract demonstrates originality to a scientific contribution, listing hypotheses, research methods and a summary of results. The abstract must end with a brief result or conclusion.
Specifically, the abstract in a manuscript with a qualitative research design must be clear, descriptive, and provide a brief description of the problem, question, or research objective. The content of the abstract includes the urgency of the research topic which shows originality to the scientific contribution. Include research design, types of participants or data sources, and analysis strategies, main results/findings, and implications/important things from the research results. The abstract must end with a brief result or conclusion.
Keywords
Contains 4-5 words according to the research and write them in free order.
Introduction
Manuscript with quantitative research design: contains the problem which is the background of the research, including variables, research gaps, arguments, research objectives, research benefits, theoretical basis, and hypotheses.
Manuscript with a qualitative research design: contains the problem including a description of the problem or research question in the context, review of the literature, and research objectives, to whom the research is addressed, reasons for choosing a qualitative research design.
Method
Manuscripts with quantitative and qualitative research designs include a complete research design to data collection and analysis techniques.
Result and Discussion
Manuscripts with quantitative and qualitative research designs, briefly but concisely explain the results according to the research design used in an integrated manner, then elaborated with a review of literature that is relevant, new, and comes from primary sources. Can include tables/charts/pictures to present research results so that they are easily understood precisely.
Conclusion and Recommendations
This section must answer the research objectives and not just summarize the research findings in a brief, clear and concise manner. The contents highlight new findings that have contributed to the development of the science of psychology. Suggestions are written based on the main conclusions or limitations of the research.
Acknowledgements
Mention anyone who has contributed to the research (e.g., research assistant, funding organization). The name of the organization providing the funds must be written in full. Authors must include list of individuals who have assisted during the research.
Conflict of Interest
A statement of any existing interests (eg, financial, professional, or personal work-related relationships).
References
The entire reference list must contain all sources mentioned in the manuscript and not contain sources that are not listed. The citation refers to the American Psychological Association (APA) 7Ed Year 2020 in the link: Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, Seventh Edition (2020) (apa.org). Sources are preferred citing primary sources.
Image and Table
Both images and tables must be referenced in the text. Writers should also explain what readers should look on the tables or images. Reference table and image refer to APA 7th edition.
