Abstract

Development of multimedia software requires a special method that is not the same as classic software. This is caused by combination of multimedia elements which are text, still images/photos/graphic arts, sounds, animations, and digital videos. Method of Godfrey, Villamil-Molina, Sherwood-Rout, and Vaughan have been selected. This study describe and compare it to obtain the advantages and disadvantages of each method. The results are methods generally done in sequential stage and there is no best method because each has its advantages and disadvantages.

Keywords: Multimedia software development method, Multimedia, Software Development Life Cycle, Software Engineering, comparison of software development methods.
