Author Guidelines
Author Guidelines
The editors of International Journal of Humanity Studies (IJHS) welcome authors to submit articles written in English in accordance with the template.
1. Articles have not been published or accepted for publication, or are being considered for publication elsewhere.
2. In addition to the manuscript, a written statement should be attached which clarifies the originality and free of plagiarism. The IJHS Copyright Transfer Form must be sent in a seperate file named "IJHS Copyright Transfer Form" uploaded in the supplementary.
3. Types of articles suitable for publication include research reports and conceptual ideas.
4. Each article should be in form of essay written in English which includes:
a. Title (15-20 words) in bold type and in capital and in 12- point size of Times New Roman font. Please follow the template uploaded in the website.
b. Author's name (without academic degree) with an e-mail address and institution's name.
c. Abstract
Write your abstract in Times New Romans, 12pt as suggested by IJHS template. Abstract should be written in English which includes research problems, methods, and results. You should not put any references in this section. The abstract for IJHS should consist of 150-200 words.
d. Keywords in English (3 - 5 words).
e. Introduction (Capitalized first letter, Times New Romans, Bold, 12 pt)
Manuscripts should be 3,000-10,000 words including references, notes, and tables. The introduction includes the background and objectives. The introduction section ends with an emphasis on items to be discussed. You can cite the previous studies that inspire you by mentioning the name of the author and the year of publication (Name of author, 2001). Please use APA 6th edition style. You are encouraged to use Mendeley as the referencing tool. It will help you insert your bibliography with ease.
Every paragraph should be single-spaced with indentation in each paragraph. This section also elaborate the literature reviews/theoretical construct of the research. You should tell readers the kinds of research, journal articles and books you use in analysing your data.
f. Method (Capitalized first letter, Times New Romans, Bold, 12 pt)
In this section you need to mention the source of data and their context. You also need to mention clearly the process of analysing the data. Please write sufficient details about the method.
g. Findings and Discussion (Capitalized 1st letter, New Romans, Bold, 12pt)
h. Conclusion (without sections) which includes the concluding remarks, research implications, and suggestions.
Please write your concluding remarks in one paragraph. You should not put any references in this section.
i. References (Please use at least 25 references using APA, 6th edition in alphabetical order. 80% of the references should be from recent scientific journals.)

6. Another suitable type of article is a book review. Please note the following requirements for submitting book reviews:
a. Books being reviewed should be newly published.
b. Book reviews should be between 2-4 pages in length.
c. A copy or scan of the book cover should be attached.
7. The editors appreciate it if authors excerpt information from subsequently published articles in IJHS.
8. Articles should be uploaded onto IJHS website in soft-files using Microsoft Word application, 3,000 - 10,000 words, double-spaced on A4-sized paper, using 12 size Times New Roman font.
9. Authors will be sent notifications of the receipt of manuscripts and editorial decisions (whether the articles are accepted or not) by e-mail.
