Focus and Scope

The Journal of Counseling and Humanistic Studies aims to publish research results on counseling studies and humanistic studies. The journal intends to transmit, enrich, and develop research, theory, practice, and policy in educational counseling and humanistic studies. This journal encompasses the applications of learning media development, pastoral counseling, multicultural counseling, mental health issues, Indigenous counseling, and gender studies

Peer Review Process

Each article submitted to The Journal of Counseling and Humanistic Studies passes the process of blind review. This means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. Submitted papers are evaluated by anonymous referees for contribution, originality, and relevance. Reviewer selection is critical to the publication process, and we base our choice on many factors, including expertise, reputation, specific recommendations and our own previous experience of a reviewer's characteristics. We check with potential reviewers before sending them manuscripts to review. Reviewers reserves the right to reject the script if the script review does not match to the fields/expertise. Reviewers should bear in mind that all correspondences in this journal contain confidential information, which should be treated as such.

The decision made for the article is the result of the Editorial Board’s agreement based on the suggestions proposed by the reviewer(s).

In general, we need fourteen days to inform you (the authors) about the results, ninety days for review time, and forty five days. Totally, peer review process estimated time consuming up to five months.

The Journal of Counseling and Humanistic Studies has a policy of screening for plagiarism. We use Anti-Plagiarism Software "Turnitin" to check the authenticity article

The Journal Counseling and Humanistic Studies (JCHS) is published twice a year, namely in Januari and Juli

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...
