DISKRESI DALAM KEPEMIMPINAN PERGURUAN TINGGI YESUIT DI INDONESIA

Abstract


Diskresi merupakan salah satu preferensi kerasulan universal (UAP) Serikat Yesus. Pimpinan perguruan tinggi dituntut untuk melakukan diskresi dalam memecahkan masalah sebagai bagian dari tanggung jawabnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi praktik diskresi pada pemimpin pendidikan tinggi Jesuit di Indonesia, yang mencakup sebab, pertimbangan, dan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan diskresi. Desain penelitian ini adalah analisis isi kualitatif. Penelitian ini melibatkan 46 pemimpin pada perguruan tinggi Jesuit di Indonesia sebagai responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner online terbuka. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis isi kualitatif. Temuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) pemimpin melakukan diskresi karena alasan situasional, internal, dan eksternal; (2) pertimbangan dalam diskresi meliputi pertimbangan rasional, nilai-nilai hidup, kesehatan organisasi, dan kepraktisan; (3) keterampilan yang diperlukan dalam diskresi meliputi keterampilan interpersonal, regulasi diri, soft skill, pengetahuan, pengalaman, nilai-nilai hidup, spiritual, dan dukungan sosial.
