PERSEPSI PUBLIK PERKOTAAN TERHADAP JANJI POLITIK CALEG MENURUT FAKTOR BUDAYA, SOSIAL, PRIBADI, DAN PSIKOLOGIS

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine differences in urban public perception of the political promises of the candidates in legislative election campaign 2014, according to the cultural, social, personal and psychological factors. The study was conducted in several villages in the city of Yogyakarta before the election of 2014. The numbers of respondents were 100 people, which distributed across villages that located near big universities in Yogyakarta. Discussions of research data were using descriptive analysis on the basis of the concept of consumer behavior.

The results showed some low level of public trusts to some political appointment of candidates. The average level of confidence of respondents to the political appointment only 18.01 percent and surprisingly, lowest confidence level came from respondents with the status of civil servant jobs (PNS). In the other hand, higher educated people have better political insight and be more critical with the promises that are offered by the legislative candidates.
