PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER BANGSA ALA SUKARNO DAN SUHARTO DALAM PERSPEKTIF SEJARAH PEMERINTAHAN DI INDONESIA

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine: (1) the establishment of a national character by Sukarno. (2) the formation of national character by Suharto. (3) the impact of national character formation pattern between Sukarno and Suharto for Indonesia. This study uses historical research and written descriptive. The results of this study indicate that 1. Education Sukarno character in general is to make the Indonesian nation spirited nationalist and able to appear in the international community in the fight against imperialism, colonialism, neo-colonialism, and capitalism. 2. Establishment of the characters in the Suharto era can be said to be almost non-existent, in the Suharto goverment filled with unhealthy practices in politics which later formed the continuous negative mentality. 3. Impact of character formation pattern Sukarno and Suharto is a break continuity character education during the Sukarno era, because of popaganda Suharto (Orde Baru) to remove Sukarno in public memory and history.
